I created an identity for Miller Knoll's workplace research library. Inspired by the quotes "To design something so complex yet so simple" and "What is demanded is something greater than ever" by the paper Generation by Knoll, I decided on the idea of PARADOX. The logo combines two greater-than signs, and the rest of the identity is complemented with a ruler sketching style. When the sketched lines are combined in a certain way, each straight line, seemingly simple, creates something so complex. Hence circling back to my core concept: "complex yet simple." I also see the accumulation of lines as a progression of their design history, each simple gesture condensing into what we see today as the "workplace library."
